SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Dozens of people are gathered in front of the San Angelo Area Foundation to represent their cause or organization for San Angelo Gives on May 7.

Senora Scott met up with Janet Karcher to talk more about the 2024 event.

"It's just a fantastic day for anyone who wants to become a philanthropist, a small donation of $10 can help you do it," Karcher explained.

In 2023, over 12,000 donations were given to San Angelo and Concho Valley organizations and causes, reaching a record total of $4.1 million.

"This year we're hoping that we can surpass that number and we know that our community is going to respond with heartfelt generosity," Karcher said.

At the time of this publication, $1.5 million has been raised for over 250 organizations in the area. Visit the San Angelo Gives website to donate.
