SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Workers will soon begin paving another section of road as part of the College Hills Boulevard street project, according to the City of San Angelo.
The City stated in an announcement that paving work will start on the portion of College Hills Boulevard spanning from Millbrook Drive to West Loop 306 Frontage Road beginning on Thursday, Dec. 12. It said that the first layer of paving will cover both the western side of the roadway and "connect to side streets."
The final layer of paving will span the entire road section and "take six days," as per the City. Afterward, traffic signals will be active.
"Striping will come later, but two-way traffic will be allowed across the full road until then," the City said.
The College Hills Boulevard street project began in May 2022 and has a projected completion time of "by the end of 2024," according to the City's active street projects website.
