SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Beginning in June samples of San Angelo tap water will be tested from San Angelo homes. The testing required by the E.P.A. Is to test for any high levels of lead or copper in a certain selection of homes generally built across San Angelo during the 1980s.
Employees from the water quality lab will drop off sample kits at a home whose owners will collect a tap water sample and leave it on the doorstep to be picked up.
Shane Kelton, executive director of public works as part of the requirements of the test says "we ask that there be a have not used the tap whether that's the kitchen sink or the sink in the bathroom it is we ask that it not be used time the best time to take the samples is first thing in the morning when you get up before anything take the sample at that point similar tests taken annually have come back within guidelines."
