RICHARDSON, Texas – Following a historic sweep at West Texas A&M, the No. 1 Angelo State baseball team earned its second weekly accolade as outfielder Ethan Flodstrom was named Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.

Flodstrom, a senior business management major, served as the designated hitter in the series and batted .588 (10-for-17) with four home runs, three doubles and 10 RBIs. The Port Angeles, Wash. native also scored nine runs and was walked three times. In the series-clinching Game 3, Flodstrom hit two home runs – one being a grand slam.

The Rams will be back in action when the Blue and Gold welcome in Eastern New Mexico for a four-game series beginning on Thursday, Apr. 17 with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium.
