SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State baseball team tallied seven ABCA/Rawlings South Central Regional Honors as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Wednesday.

Chase Pendley and Dax Dathe were named to the first team while Austin Beck, Lane Hutchinson, Jacob Guerrero, Ethan Flodstrom and Alizaeh Gutierrez were tabbed to the second team.

Pendley, a junior from Prosper, Texas, earns his third all-region honors just hours after being named as an honorable mention in the D2CCA All-American that was released Wednesday morning. The interdisciplinary studies student swung for a .390 batting average, collecting 78 hits, 13 doubles, three triples and two home runs. The infielder by trade was responsible for 107 total runs scored, scoring 60 times himself while knocking in 47.

Dathe notches his third regional honor of the season after a 2025 campaign where he achieved a 9-1 record and a 2.99 ERA in 15 appearances including 13 starts. The senior from Round Rock, Texas allowed 24 earned runs while collecting 98 strikeouts and opponents hitting for a .206 average.

Leading off the second team at second base was Beck who saw a return to form after missing most of the 2024 season. The exercise student from Allen, Texas hit .376 with 11 doubles, three triples, six home runs while knocking in 48 RBIs. A former Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year, Beck recently broke both the Angelo State program record for career stolen bases and the LSC record for career runs scored. This is his third all-region selection of the season and the seventh of his career.

Hutchinson, a senior from Slaughter, La., was tabbed as the second team's third baseman after earning the honor at second base the previous two seasons. The senior business management student hit for a .403 batting average collecting 77 hits, 13 doubles, a triple and five homers. In his one year with the Rams' program, Hutchinson was responsible for 134 runs, becoming the team's RBI leader with 77 while scoring 57 times himself.

Guerrero, an accounting major from Colleyville, Texas, continues to add onto the standout career as a Ram, receiving his second award of the day after also being named to the D2CCA All-American Second Team. The senior had a standout season at the plate, boasting a .401 batting average and a 1.113 OPS. He has racked up 89 hits, including 19 doubles, four triples, and seven home runs, while scoring 75 runs and driving in 52. A pillar of consistency for the Rams in left field, Guerrero had also drawn 41 walks and swiped 20 bases.

Flodstrom, a business management student from Port Angles, Wash., played a major role in his one season with the Rams as he was among the nation's leaders in walks (55) and on base percentage (.548) from the leadoff spot in the lineup. Rounding out his stats, the senior swung for a .376 average with 67 hits, 18 doubles and seven earned runs to knock in 50 RBI while scoring 67 times himself.

Gutierrez rounds out the Rams representation on the list as the left-hander from El Paso, Texas notched a 5-2 record with a 4.62 ERA in 14 starts. The interdisciplinary studies student earned two complete games while collecting 54 strikeouts and limiting opposing hitters to a .232 batting average.
