SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Health Foundation has announced that it has distributed over $230,000 to area nonprofits during its fourth quarter. Which organizations received part of the funds, and what was their portion spent on?

The SAHF stated in a media release that it "has awarded $233,651 to 15 area nonprofits in its fourth quarter." The nonprofits join the 250 organizations and 942 projects that have been given over $68 million since the foundation's inception.

According to the SAHF, the following organizations received foundation funding during the fourth quarter:

Angelo Civic Theatre was awarded $44,000 to replace an HVAC unit. Its roots can be traced back to 1885. Angelo Civic Theatre’s mission is to “culturally enrich, educate, and entertain through the theatrical arts and to encourage community participation in that work.” Uninterrupted theatrical seasons have been produced since 1952.

San Angelo Area Foundation was awarded $100,000 for the 2025 San Angelo Gives Amplification Fund. San Angelo Gives is a one-day online donation initiative that connects and inspires donors to give to their favorite causes, projects, or organizations. In 2024, San Angelo Gives raised over $4 million dollars for causes across the Concho Valley.

San Angelo Food Bank was awarded $10,000 for food assistance distributions. Founded in 2024, it is a branch of the San Antonio Food Bank and currently serves Tom Green, Irion, Sterling, Concho and Coke counties. Its focus is helping clients have food for today and the resources to be self-sufficient in the future.

West Texas Counseling & Guidance was awarded $64,651 for security and technology upgrades. Its missionis to “enable individuals and families of the Concho Valley to reach their full potential in body, mind, and spirit through evidence-based counseling and educational services.” Over the last five years, the number of clients served and sessions provided has grown extensively.

The Trustees generously awarded unsolicited seasonal assistance grants to eleven organizations totaling $15,000 for holiday programming needs to the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley, Boys & Girls Club of the Concho Valley, San Angelo Early Childhood Center, Children’s Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas, Concho Valley Home for Girls, House of Faith, ICD Family Shelter, Early-Redwine Childcare Center, Operation Blue Santa, San Angelo State Supported Living Center Volunteer Services Council, and West Texas Boys Ranch.
