SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) The Central Bobcats Basketball season is in full swing and just a few weeks out from District play. The Bobcats are currently 10-2 and rolling through the team's first 12 games.

The Bobcats success early on starts on offense. Trey Allen, Christian "Squeaky" English and Talmadge Taylor all have vital roles in this offense that is past faced and scores quickly. The Bobcats are averaging over 75 ppg while holding opponents to nearly 60 ppg. Now according to Coach Arsenio Geter, you could attest this to time of possession and the fact that the Bobcats score fast leaving the possession in their opponents hands longer. When talking to Coach Geter he mentioned "toughness" was the key to success on defense and the way he would describe this Bobcats team he is still learning after taking over this year for his inaugural season with the boys having been Central's Girls basketball coach the past few seasons.

Also a huge shout out to Christian "Squeaky" English as he surpassed 1k points for his career at Central.

I caught up with Head Coach Arsenio Geter just ahead of their upcoming tournaments this week to discuss the team, the overall culture of his team, and what he sees from this Bobcats group that has success potentially waiting for them over the horizon.
