Observe nature and be a citizen scientist!

Where: Event takes place anywhere inside park boundaries and Tom Green County.

What: Help log different species of plants, wildlife, and birds into our City Nature Challenge project on iNaturalist. Logged findings assist staff, biologist, and other experts with research, projects, and understanding our ecosystems!

When: Any time from April 25th through 28th.

How:
1. Download the iNaturalist app to your smartphone or device
2. Create an account
3. Find the "Projects" tab on the bottom right hand of your screen
4. Search for " City Nature Challenge 2025: Texas Big Country" and join the project
5. Start observing! Once you have taken your photos, you can upload them to iNaturalist. As you're uploading, make sure the City Nature Challenge project it selected.
6. Sit back and watch others observe plants and animals in the area!
