SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Angelo State University earned national recognition from several organizations for excellence in education and related services that significantly contributed to the academic success of veteran and military students and their families.
According to ASU, for the 11th consecutive year, ASU has been named a national Best for Vets College by the Military Times organization.
For four straight years ASU has also been named one of the nation's Top Veteran-Friendly Schools by U.S. Veterans Magazine and one of the nation's Veteran Friendly Colleges by the Veterans.com independent online information guide for military and veteran benefits.
"This continuing recognition is a reflection not just of the performance of the ASU Veterans Educational and Transitional Services Center, but also of Angelo State University as a whole - our leadership, staff, faculty and students," said Phil Nichelson, director of affiliated military and veteran services.
