SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Click the video above to preview Junction's Bi-District matchup versus Iola and hear from Eagles head coach Scott Freeman.

For the first time since 2003, the Junction Eagles can call themselves district champions. Junction ran away with the District 14-2A Division II title, going 6-0 in district play and averaging over 58 points scored per game.

2024 marks Junction head coach Scott Freeman's third straight playoff season, after back-to-back Bi-District exits in 2022 and 2023. The Eagles finished with overall records of 6-5 and 2-7 in those seasons, respectively.

Coming into the 2024 season, Junction boasted a full lineup of returning starters. This has undoubtedly given Freeman's team a huge advantage. Freeman and his players have used past playoff losses as motivation all season long, and that doesn't change heading into the Bi-District round.

"We have a more mature football team this year. I think they know what's at stake. We know what first round defeats feel like. This year, it's a different feel. We've learned what it takes to win those big games," Freeman said.

Junction will begin its Bi-District game versus Iola on a short week, with kickoff scheduled for 7pm on Thursday, Nov. 14.
