SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Angelo State University Wind Ensemble will host its final concert of the fall season on Sunday, Nov. 17.
According to ASU, the concert will begin at 2:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the Brooks and Bates Theatre at the San Angelo Performing Arts Center, located at 82 Gillis St. and is open and free to the public.
The musical program will include:
- "Ignition" by Todd Stalter
- "Equus" by Eric Whitacre
- "Amazing Grace" arranged by Frank Ticheli
- "Rail Riffs" by Brian Balmages
- "Quartets" by Roger Cichy
- "Tico Tico" by Zequinha Abreu
- "Funiculi, Funicula" arranged by Yo Goto
"The ASU Wind Ensemble features over 50 student musicians performing on various woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. It is directed by Dr. Jonathan Alvis, ASU director of bands," said ASU.
Starting on Nov. 18th, ASU's wind ensemble will go on a three-day performance and recruiting tour that includes stops at various high schools in the Wichita Falls area.
