LUBBOCK, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams finished the Jarvis Scott Invite, hosted by Texas Tech on Saturday, collecting eight provisional marks.
On the women's side, Jacent Nyamahunge earned a provisional in the 200-meter dash, taking sixth with a time of 24.01. Shackelia Green also finished with a provisional time in section B of the 200, recording a sixth-place finish at 24.52.
In the women's 4x400-meter relay, Nyamahunge, Green, Kylie Frush, and Lainey Jernigan combined for a time of 3:45.50, taking ninth overall while earning a provisional.
Fedra Florentin threw for a provisional in the shot put with a mark of 14.09m (46-2.75) to finish sixth while Kamryn Williams finished sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 16.09m (52-9.5).
Chasity Benson took 14th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:41.32, finishing third out of all Division II runners.
For the Rams, Oleg Ananyev cleared a height of 5.11m (16-9.25) in the pole vault to earn a provisional and take third overall.
Rami Balti and Solomon Odonkor both earned provisional times as Balti finished 13th overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.56 while Odonkor took 21st in the 200-meter dash at 21.45.
Also earning a provisional was Josh Body, finishing fifth overall in the triple jump with a mark of 15.02m (49-3.5).
The Rams and Rambelles will turn their attention to the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships which take place in Albuquerque, N.M., Feb 21-22.
