Concho Valley teams over the weekend:
CENTRAL
-Central Lady Cats went 1-3 over the weekend at the MT Rise Tournament with a win over Manor before 3 straight losses Friday and Saturday.
-Central Bobcats lost in OT to open the MT Rise Tournament before winning against Temple, and another against Rockwall before dropping the last game in the Consolation Championship against United. Christian English had an amazing 30 points in this losing effort.
LAKE VIEW
-Lake View Maidens would open up the tournament in Monahans with a loss against Presidio, Del Rio, Monahans and Odessa.
-Lake View Chiefs were also in Monahans for the tournament this past weekend with a huge 30 point win over Crane, a tough 6 point loss over Austin and another huge win in game 3, this time against the tourney host Monahans. The Chiefs on Saturday would defeat Plainview moving onto the Tourney Championship against Odessa, losing in this game by 11, taking home 2nd in the tournament.
WALL
-Wall Lady Hawks this past weekend were taking part in the CapRock Classic. The Lady Hawks opened the tourney 2-0 after huge wins against Hamlin(76-12) and against Hale Center (60-26). The Lady Hawks on Saturday would face Lubbock Christian defeating them and moving on to the tournament championship against Sweetwater. Unfortunately the ladies would fall in this one 68-66 missing the potentially game winning shot. Nonetheless another 2nd place finish in the Concho Valley this weekend.
-Wall Hawks just like the ladies, started 2-0 in their tournament this weekend, the Texas Bank CLassic. Led by Jager Thompson who was lights out this weekend. THe Hawks beat Comanche and Goldwaithe to open the tourney led by Thompson's 17 and 18 points. The Hawks then beat Dublin, and again Thompson led the way with 20 and in the TBC Championship game against Lampasas, Thompson led the Hawks to the win with 22 points, taking home tourney MVP.
