SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Angelo State University Trumpet Ensemble will host its annual fall concert titled "Conquest".
According to ASU, the concert will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, located at 2602 Dena Drive.
"The concert will take place in the Carr EFA Building's Eldon Black Recital Hall and is open and free to the public," said ASU.
The concert will feature a variety of styles, from early masterworks to fanfare to modern jazz. The works that are included are:
- "Concert Fanfare" by Eric Ewazen
- "Canzon per Sonare No. 4" by Giovanni Gabrieli
- "Triforium" by Bernard Andres
- Selections from "Scenes Hongroises, Suite No. 2" by Jules Massenet
- " So What" and "Four" by Miles Davis
- "Conquest" by Erik Morales
According to ASU, the Trumpet Ensemble includes six ASU music majors and two Howard College students who will soon enroll at ASU. The ASU Trumpet Ensemble will be directed by Dr. John Irish, professor of music at ASU.
