SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage)— Bob Salas, the city of San Angelo's Neighborhood & Family Services Director, Is retiring.
According to a social media post from the City of San Angelo, Salas is retiring after working for the city for over 18 years. He created the Neighborhood and Family Services Department, which includes community development, social services, code compliance, animal services, and Women, Infants, and Children.
While working for the city, Salas oversaw affordable housing projects that made more than 400 apartments available to low-to-moderate-income residents. Salas also has worked to try to eliminate veteran homelessness in our community.
"Thank you, Bob, for your many years of work. We wish you the best in your retirement!" read the City of San Angelo post.
