According to the sheriff's office, the app is free to download on Android and iOS mobile devices and available on the Google Play Store and Apple Store. Those who wish to download the app can do so by visiting tomgreencountysheriff.org/app or by searching "Tom Green County Sheriff's Office" in the Google Play Store or Apple Store.

The agency stated that the app allows users to have "quick, easy access to the most important features of the website," such as the following:

The sheriff's office encourages all Tom Green County residents and the general public to download the app.

"The new upgraded mobile App features information for the public, continues to provide transparency for the Sheriff's Office, and encourages the public to take a more active role in community policing efforts," Sheriff Nick Hanna said. "We invite all County residents or visitors to download our App and sign up for our push notifications. We believe our App will continue to be a huge benefit to the Sheriff's Office and residents of Tom Green County."

The launch of the upgraded app comes just eight days after the sheriff's office announced the launch of its redesigned website. The agency stated that the updated website features a "responsive design" and "simple, flexible navigation" that allows users to "access the information they want and need from any device."
