SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) —The Concho Valley community came together to support Special Olympics Texas in two fundraising events held earlier this week.
According to a social media post shared by Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, on July 23, Texas Roadhouse hosted a benefit night that raised over $4,300 for Special Olympics Texas- Big Country/Concho Valley Area and Special Olympics Texas.
Following this, On July 25, the San Angelo Police Department contributed to the cause with a fundraising event of their own at Texas Roadhouse. According to the Tip A Cop campaign, the department raised $1,705, marking 34% of their $5,000 goal.
Together, the people of the Concho Valley raised slightly more than $6,000 this week for Special Olympics Texas-Big Country/Concho Valley Area.
