SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) The Lake View Chiefs hosted the Snyder Tigers in week two of the 2024 High School Football season. These two teams face off for the first time since 2021. With a record of 18-21 before the break. Snyder leads the series all time at 33-18-1 and 6 of last 8 including the last two meetings.

Both teams enter this game 0-1 on the season both looking for that first win. The Chiefs had an early mistake in the 1st Quarter of the game on a muffed punt that set up Snyder inside the red zone to start their second drive. After a missed field goal attempt, Lake View came out swinging with a 50+ yard touchdown pass to take the early 7-0 lead. Just before half Snyder drives down the field and decides to go for it on 4th down. Lake View holds off the would be score with a goal line stand on 4th down to take the game into half time. Lake View would walk away from this game 0-2 on the season after a final score of 40-34.
