SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — After serving 30 years as Precinct Four's Justice of the Peace, Judge Eddie Howard is retiring.

Dozens of Tom Green County employees, close friends and family gathered in the Tom Green County Commissioner's courtroom on Jan. 7 to celebrate his retirement.

"I sit in a quiet room and I think about the blessings that's been mine to be able to serve this role," he said. "And its not the biggest role in the county, its not the most important role but to some people it is and when they come in they need to feel like this is the most important thing that you're doing for them."

Howard shared he looks forward to spending time with his grandkids and hitting the waters for some fishing.

Retired Precinct Four Constable Randy Harris will be taking over at the Justice of the Peace.
