RICHARDSON, Texas – Angelo State Track and Field collected two Lone Star Conference Athletes of the Week as Solomon Odonkor won the men's track honor while Oleg Ananev was selected for men's field.

Odonkor, a senior kinesiology major from Accra, Ghana, broke program records in both the 100-meters and 200-meters to take a pair of gold medals at the Wes Kittley Invitational in Abilene, Texas. He posted a 10.05 in the 100m and 20.39m in the 200m which leads the conference in both events.

Ananev, a freshman management major from Irkutsk, Russia, posted an 18-4.5 (5.60m) in the pole vault to set the program record and win gold at the Wes Kittley Invitational. His height is also tops in NCAA Division II this season, the highest in more than more than 15 years, and ranks 45th in the world this year

The Rams return to action on Thursday as they compete at the Texas Relays in Austin.
