SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) —The San Angelo Police Department released information regarding a man that was stabbed with a box cutter Thursday afternoon.

According to a press release from the SAPD, officers were disptached to the 700 Blk of East Avenue K for a reported stabbing at 3:57 p.m. on Dec. 19. A 45-year-old man was found with a stab wound from a box cutter that he had sustained during an altercation. The individual was transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers arrest 42-year-old Michael Zubiate and took him into custody without incident. Zubiate has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He remains incarcerated at the Tom Green County Detention Center with no bond.
