Goodyear, Ariz.- The Angelo State women's golf team concluded play in day one of the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, hosted by Western New Mexico, with one round played on Apr. 4.  

Round One Quick Hits:  

• The Rambelles ended their opening round of play in ninth place out of the field of 22 teams, with a score of 298.  

• The Belles currently sit above Lone Star Conference opponents Texas A&M International, Texas A&M Kingsville, Cameron and UT Permian Basin.  

• Johanna Öhrling led the way for the Belles, ending the first round of play tied for ninth with a score of 72.  

• Lacey Stevens concluded the opening round of play tied for 22nd with a round score of 73.  

• Kelsey Kline finished the opening round tied for 51st with a score of 76.  

• Caitlin Vanderkruk ended her opening round of play at the Palm Valley Golf Club tied for 64th with a score of 77.  

• Mia Clarke rounded out the team scoring for the Belles, tied for 103rd with a score of 83.  

• Kara Knight competed the course for the Blue and Gold as an individualist, where she ended the first round tied for 72nd with a score of 78.  

The Belles are back in action to conclude play in the RJGA Palm Valley Classic on Apr. 5.
