SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Angelo State soccer team defeated Dallas Baptist 2-1 in overtime Sunday in the Lone Star Conference Tournament finals, and the Belles earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II South-Central Regionals.
ASU is 13-1-5 on the year. The No. 2 seed Belles will play the winner between No. 3 DBU and No. 6 MSU Denver at 3 p.m. Sunday at the LeGrand Soccer Complex in the second round of the regional tourney.
Belles head coach Travis McCorkle and his staff have gotten the best out of the 2024 squad and we talked to him Monday.
