SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Click the video above to view highlights from the Rambelles' and Rams' Thursday night matchups versus West Texas A&M.

Angelo State hoops returned to campus to begin a four-game homestand on Thursday night. Both the Rambelles and Rams looked to stay in the win column in each of their respective seasons.

The two games produced very different outcomes. The Rambelles sent fans home happy with a 74-62 win, extending the team's winning streak to nine games. ASU never trailed, leading by as many as 25 points. Five Rambelles reached double figures, led by Addy Burns who scored a team-high 16 points. Madeline Stephens only scored five points but led the team with 12 rebounds and two steals. The Rambelles improve to 7-1 in the Lone Star Conference and 11-3 overall.

Meanwhile, the Rams fall short in their game, losing 81-61. This marks the Rams' first home loss of the 2024-25 season. Things started slowly as it took nearly four minutes for the Rams to score their first points of the game. The Rams held a 33-31 halftime lead, but were outscored 50-28 in the second half. Carvell Teasett was the only Ram to reach double figures in any statistical category, scoring 19 points. Teasett also shot 3-for-7 from beyond the arc. Despite his best efforts, it wasn't enough for his team as the Rams fall to 5-3 in conference play and 9-5 overall.

Both squads look to defend their home court on Saturday, Jan 20 when Angelo State welcomes Eastern New Mexico into town.
