SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) Angelo State kicked off the 2024 regular season campaign starting 1-1. They hosted their first home game of the season Tuesday night and won in dominating fashion 101-58 against Arlington Baptist.

The Rams had 55 first half points, almost totaling the Patriots total score for the game. The Rams average 50% shooting from both the field and from the 3 point line in both halves, with 12 steals on the defensive side of the ball as well. Player of the game, Sterling Gaston Chapman recorded a 20 point, 12 rebound double double also making him the 2nd highest scorer on the floor tonight behind Carvell Teasett's 22 points.

The Rams head coach Vinay Patel yesterday said that this team was a team and would need to work together in such a way to be successful this year, and he got his first glimpse of that from the boys on Tuesday.

Angelo State Mens' Basketball is back on the road this weekend as both the Men and Women travel on the road to UTPB this Saturday at 1pm for the ladies and 3pm for the boys.
