Richardson, Texas – Angelo State softball senior pitcher Cheyenne Floyd was named the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week for her standout performances inside the circle to close the 2025 regular season.

Floyd threw 13.1 shutout innings with 17 strikeouts and one walk, only allowing seven hits against Midwestern State and No. 1 West Texas A&M.

Against Midwestern State, the Coaching, Sport, Recreation, and Fitness Administration student allowed three hits and a walk while striking out nine Mustangs in 6.1 innings.

Floyd closed the regular season with a complete-game shutout of the nation's top-ranked team, allowing four hits and striking out eight Lady Buffs.

The Liberty Hill native enters the postseason with a 24-5 record and a 1.59 ERA. She has thrown 11 complete games, five shutouts, and two no-hitters; she has also appeared in relief to record two saves.

Across 150 innings, Floyd has struck out 170 batters and has held opponents to a .171 batting average. Her opponent's batting average is the best in the LSC.

In April, Floyd threw 48.2 innings, allowing 27 hits and 12 runs while recording 59 strikeouts.

This is Floyd's fifth career weekly honor and the third of the 2025 season, having also earned it on February 17th and April 1^st. Floyd ends her career tied for the third-most weekly honors in ASU history.

The Rambelles end the regular season with eight weekly honors, the most in the conference and ASU's most in a season since 2017.

The Rambelles are 43-11 this season and 34-10 in LSC play; the Rambelles open their postseason schedule this Thursday against Eastern New Mexico in the LSC Tournament.
