RICHARDSON, Texas – The top-ranked Angelo State baseball team added another milestone to its standout 2025 season, as senior pitcher Dax Dathe was named Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Dathe, a Coaching, Sport, Recreation and Fitness Administration major from Round Rock, Texas, needed just 58 pitches to deliver his second complete-game shutout of the year in a dominant road performance against Cameron. He scattered just four hits, struck out eight, and walked only one batter, allowing just a single runner to reach second base. The win not only secured the Lone Star Conference Regular Season title for the Rams but also made Dathe the league's only eight-game winner.

Angelo State will return to the field on Thursday, May 8, as they host the Championship Round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament.
