Indianapolis, Ind. – The NCAA announced this afternoon that the Angelo State softball team is ranked third in the South Central region in the latest version of the regional rankings.

The Rambelles sit behind No. 3 UT Tyler and No. 1 West Texas A&M in the regional rankings. They are followed by No. 16 Oklahoma Christian, Colorado Mesa, MSU Denver, Colorado Christian, and Lubbock Christian. Cameron and St. Edward's are just outside the top eight.

The final regional rankings will be released next Wednesday afternoon. The whole field for the NCAA Tournament will be announced on Monday, March 5^th, at 9 a.m. Central time on ncaa.com.

The Rambelles are 41-9 this season and 32-8 in LSC play. The Rambelles close out the regular season at home this weekend against Midwestern State and No. 1 West Texas A&M.
